My Trip to Europe
So, last year at this time, I went to England for a month. I visited several cities which I can name if you all would like me to, but I noticed several big differences between England and the US. The best way I can think to explain it would be to compare the whole country to New York City. (They're probably the same size. *cough* *cough* sorry to our British audience out there.) Actually I found that most of the English people I met there are pretty fascinated with Americans and our accents. Despite what I heard about the English people and their distaste for American's, I found most of that untrue. Definitely a cool place to visit.
2) They are a lot more festive than I think most Americans are. It could have just been the place that I was staying but I found up and down every major street there was Christmas tinsel shaped and decorated to fit the coming holidays and there were people dancing in the streets in costumes every day all month. It was a fun thing to see when you are like me and live in the mid west where there isn't a lot of anything Christmas-y going on except maybe at the Broncos stadium in Denver where they occasionally feel like hanging a giant wreath.
And of course I have plenty of pictures of my trip and stories to tell when I was over there. You all are more than welcome to ask. :)

Re: My Trip to Europe
Actually surprisingly now. Apparently I brought the warmer weather with me when I left for my trip though because it actually didn't snow when I was in England but apparently when I was on my trip for that month they got 3 blizzards where I live.
These are the tinsel decorations I was talking about from when I was staying in Derby. :)

Yes to both. I actually went to the obviously world famous Natural History Museum. I absolutely loved the architecture of the building, not to mention everything they had on display inside. The dinosaur exhibit was by far my favorite though. If you ever end up going you should probably take like a week to see everything in this museum. I only got to go through a few parts of it but I saw the famous "Lucy". That was kind of cool to see. :)
Re: My Trip to Europe
I don't think there was any part of that building not decorated. Even the ceiling tiles were all different and decorated. I went to Ripley's believe it or not too which is another museum there. Its a neat little place near Piccadilly Circus, but it costs a small fortune. It was about $55 for just my ticket to get in for the day. Unfortunately right now I don't have those pictures but I am hoping to soon.

Re: My Trip to Europe
I assume that you meant was the plane ride to England scary. If that is what you are asking then actually it wasn't too bad. There was quite a bit of turbulence over the Atlantic but it was the middle of the night by the time we were over the ocean and the sum was just coming up when we were over England. Really cool thing o see from a plane by the way. But the actual plane rid itself was a bit cramped and it was about 15 hours from the time I left Colorado to the time I landed in London.
Re: My Trip to Europe
It sounds like you had a fun trip. :) I've traveled a lot in America, but I've never visited other countries. My lucky cousin is going to France in March for her 16th birthday.

Haha my mom just got engaged and they are talking about having the wedding in Mexico or in Hawaii. So either way it is a place I haven't been.
