Photoshop Information Sheet

Hey guys! I thought I'd help any of you who are starting out with photoshop with a little 'info sheet' as I like to call it. It has some of the information that you may need to make detailed graphics.

PSD
When someone's talking about a PSD on sites such as Tumblr etc. nine times out of ten they'll be talking about colour or enhancement PSDs. These are applied to photos/graphics/gifs by opening them and then dragging the file onto the picture. You can download already made PSDs from places such as Tumblr and DeviantArt or you could try to make your own but it can be quite tricky depending on the brightness and colour that you want.

Textures
Textures are really just random pictures that come in a wide variety, from nature photography to crumpled paper. They are used to put over your picture (applied the same as PSDs but you will most likely need to change the blending option of the layer) to add, you guessed it, a texture to your work. They can also be used as a background.

I have only covered the very basics, there's so much more detail I could go into.
Learning about these can only be done by experimenting.
